Drawn to yoga by it’s meditative benefits, Shannon began her studies in yoga over 30 years ago in college. Years later she began to delve into her practice and soon craved more knowledge. After a home practice one day, she noticed her infant son was drawn to yoga as well. This led her to children's yoga and thus began her journey with the Radiant Child Family Yoga program in 2011. Shannon completed her 200 Hour certificate with studies on yoga for the entire family. Including infants to seniors with further training on yoga for children with ADD, ADHD, Autism, SPD, and other differently-abled children. This led to her Yoga Alliance designations of, ERYT500, RCYT & YACEP. Shannon completed Yoga Therapy training in 2015 and is a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) Certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Now a Trauma Conscious Yoga Therapist with a focus on childhood trauma. She enjoys teaching holistic practices, yoga and mindfulness in various settings. Those have included schools, studios, gyms, colleges, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, retirement communities, corporate classes, breweries, physical therapy offices and more. She continues to lead and assist in teacher trainings, lectures, retreats and more with modalities such as; Holistic Health Coaching, Herbalism, Reiki & Vibrational Therapies (Sound Healing). Shannon has also been proud to serve with international and national nonprofit groups helping with childhood trauma and addiction. "Teaching kids and seniors keeps me grounded with daily reminders of how simple things should be. To let go of judgment and just have fun in life! To be truly happy with where you are, wherever that may be!" Shannon started the countries first mobile yoga and wellness studio in 2015, located INSIDE a fully renovated 34’ RV! Mobile OM Wellness continues to offer holistic classes and Yoga Therapy for privates and groups, Reikii, Herbalism, lectures, professional development, mentorship, workshops and curated retail goods that have been made in collaboration with local makers. While the pandemic forced her to sell the RV, you can still find her in the community either teaching, at markets/pop ups selling her wellness wares or assisting others on their wellness journey.
